Operator Training

No tramway can be operated without trained operators.  Proper training is needed to ensure that the operators can safely load and unload  passengers as well as respond to weather conditions and mechanical issues.  Operator training starts with a well written operator manual.  This plan provides the basic information needed to operate the lift along with emergency procedures.  Operator training consists of identifying personnel who are qualified to be operators, conducting detailed training sessions, observing the new operator in their new position and testing to confirm their retention of knowledge.

Tramway Engineering has been involved in operator training and testing at many ski areas. We have training manual from many major resorts which can be valuable in development of thorough manuals.  We are available to "train the trainers".  Finally, we can review an on-going program to evaluate the effectiveness of the  training.
